The main road (left) leads on to the Pordoi Pass and the town of Canazei, while the road off to the right goes over the Campolongo Pass to Corvara.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ph-images.webspace.durham.ac.uk\/index.php\/2007\/07\/dolomites-i-arabba\/arabba-down\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ph-images.webspace.durham.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/07\/Arabba_down-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Arabba down\" title=\"Arabba down\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-4543\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>View &#8220;down town&#8221;.  Note the rather anachronistic <a title=\"Wikipedia on the classic red telephone box\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Red_telephone_box\">British telephone box<\/a> outside the chalet on the left!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ph-images.webspace.durham.ac.uk\/index.php\/2007\/07\/dolomites-i-arabba\/el-tabia\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ph-images.webspace.durham.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/07\/el_tabia-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"el tabia\" title=\"el tabia\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-4544\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Chalet where we stayed (&#8220;El tabia&#8221;).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ph-images.webspace.durham.ac.uk\/index.php\/2007\/07\/dolomites-i-arabba\/cyclists\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ph-images.webspace.durham.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/07\/Cyclists-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Cyclists\" title=\"Cyclists\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-4545\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It didn&#8217;t take long for the extent of the Italian obsession with cycling to become obvious.
