wp-image-4530\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The exposure responsible for the <a title=\"Geology of Brimham Rocks\" href=\"http:\/\/www.brimhamrocks.co.uk\/geology.htm\">wind erosion<\/a> that carved out the rock formations also gives magnificent views of the surrounding North Yorkshire countryside.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ph-images.webspace.durham.ac.uk\/index.php\/2007\/04\/brimham-rocks\/brimhamsphinx\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ph-images.webspace.durham.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/04\/BrimhamSphinx-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"BrimhamSphinx\" title=\"BrimhamSphinx\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-4532\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Some of the names given to the rock formations are fairly fanciful, but does anyone else see a resemblance to the <a title=\"Wikipedia on the Great Sphinx\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Great_Sphinx_of_Giza\">Sphinx<\/a> here?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ph-images.webspace.durham.ac.uk\/index.php\/2007\/04\/brimham-rocks\/brimhambirch\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"
