Widdop Gate Barn<\/a> is a large old barn tastefully converted into National Trust holiday accommodation.<\/p>\n

It was a particularly cold weekend and the central heating was struggling to heat the big, well, barn of a place. The solid fuel fire was essential!<\/p>\n

Apperley Bridge walk<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Biscuit Factory is a contemporary art gallery in Newcastle housed in a former, well, biscuit factory. Despite the “contemporary” label, the art was surprisingly good, no doubt because it had to be sellable to down-to-earth Geordies<\/a>!<\/p>\n
