{"id":3392,"date":"2016-12-14T22:14:17","date_gmt":"2016-12-14T22:14:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aphimages.wpengine.com\/?p=3392"},"modified":"2023-03-09T13:35:15","modified_gmt":"2023-03-09T13:35:15","slug":"innsbruck-i","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ph-images.webspace.durham.ac.uk\/index.php\/2016\/12\/innsbruck-i\/","title":{"rendered":"Innsbruck I"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The first set of pictures from a holiday in the Austrian city of <a title=\"Wikipedia on Innsbruck\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Innsbruck\">Innsbruck<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ph-images.webspace.durham.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/TirolPanorama.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Tirol Panorama\" src=\"https:\/\/ph-images.webspace.durham.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/TirolPanorama-300x186.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"186\" \/><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ph-images.webspace.durham.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/TirolPanorama2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Tirol Panorama\" src=\"https:\/\/ph-images.webspace.durham.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/TirolPanorama2-300x172.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"172\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><!--more-->The Tyrol panaroma is a giant circular painting depicting the <a title=\"Wikipedia on Battles of Bergisel\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Battles_of_Bergisel\">3rd battle of Bergisel<\/a> between Napoleonic armies and the Tyrolean rebels.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ph-images.webspace.durham.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/BergiselPlatform.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Bergisel platform\" src=\"https:\/\/ph-images.webspace.durham.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/BergiselPlatform-300x220.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"220\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Bergisel, to the south of Innsbruck, is also home to <a title=\"Wikipedia on the Bergisel ski jump \" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bergiselschanze\">Innsbruck ski jump stadium<\/a>, which has twice been used for Winter Olympics. The current jump dates from 2003 and was designed by <a title=\"Wikipedia on Zaha Hadid\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Zaha_Hadid\">Zaha Hadid<\/a>\u00a0(who died in March this Hungerburgbahn\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hungerburgbahn\">Hungerburgbahn<\/a> is a funicular railway leading up from Innsbruck to Hungerburg, passing (here) a station for the <a title=\"Wikipedia on Innsbruck Alpenzoo\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Alpenzoo_Innsbruck\">Alpenzoo<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a shared an enclosure with <a title=\"Wikipedia on alpine marmot\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Alpine_marmot\">marmots<\/a>, who obviously had worked out that the vulture was not a threat,
