These share the same striking 1930s architecture. The\u00a0<a title=\"Wikipedia on Kirkcudbrightshire\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kirkcudbrightshire\">Stewartry of Kirkcudbright<\/a>\u00a0was a region of eastern Galloway with Kirkcudbright as its principal town.
