rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/High_Rigg\" target=\"_blank\">High Rigg<\/a>, initially with views south towards <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Thirlmere\" target=\"_blank\">Thirlmere<\/a> (top left) then north-east towards <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Blencathra\" target=\"_blank\">Blencathra<\/a> (top right) before descending to <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/St_John%27s_Church,_St_John%27s_in_the_Vale\" target=\"_blank\">St. John&#8217;s church<\/a> (bottom right) and returning along the bridleway above the intake boundary, with a welcome tea and cake break at Low Bridge End Farm.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/River_Glenderamackin\" target=\"_blank\">River Glenderamackin<\/a>, whose name is indeed assumed to be Celtic meaning &#8220;valley of the pig&#8221;. The walk started in the village of Mungrisdale, which means the same thing, but in Norse! (Left) Crossing the river before beginning the climb up <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Souther_Fell\" target=\"_blank\">Souther Fell<\/a> (522 m). (Right) St. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Saint_Mungo\" target=\"_blank\">Kentigern<\/a>&#8216;s church, Mungrisdale.
