Late Feb: (L) “Fiddlers Green” artwork at North Shields. Fiddler’s Green refers to an alternative afterlife for lifetime sailors; unlikely to have led a sufficiently righteous life for conventional heaven, Fiddler’s Green was conceived as a more congenial alternative to the “other place”.
