Another set of randoms from December last year.
Early December saw some heavy snow, which persisted for a couple of weeks. Given that the snow in the previous winter was the heaviest in my time at Durham, it was surprising to have a repeat performance in the same calendar year!
Ducting in the workshop area of the National Glass Centre in Sunderland. Once a centre of glass making, Sunderland, along with much of the North-East, has seen these traditional industries wither away. Even this excellent visitor centre (built over a former shipyard) struggles to turn a profit.
