This second batch is loosely “practicalities” – accommodation, transport etc. (OK a submarine and a conference banquet aren’t natural partners, but this was the best theme I could come up with).
The first of a set of four batches of pictures from a visit to St Petersburg in July for academic conference (EUROMAR 2008). This first group is a quick tour of the historic heart of the city.
A short set of pictures from a trip (ODL) to the Simonside hills in Northumberland. Although not as wet as the previous Hadrian’s Wall outing, the overcast sky was not very photo friendly.
The combination of very indifferent weather and the busy exams season has meant a pretty thin crop of photos of late. Hence this rather random collection.
